Essential Safety Rules for the staff

Dear Everyone

Now we are re-starting the work and you may be settling down in the office. Please note the below points. Everyone must follow all the safety rules at all times.

By breaking the safety rules, you are losing your job and you will not be working for CGL anymore.

a) When you enter into the building premises you must wash hands?
b) Washing hands is compulsory to all the clients as well. They must do it.
c) Wash hands at every possible time and maintain cleanliness throughout the day
d) Must wear a mask covering nose and mouth all the time. Especially when talking to others (clients and staff).
e) Masks must not be worn as politicians and some other Sri Lankans (I can see many of these people have a mask, but it is hanging on their necks, not covering mouth and nose)
f) If you are meeting a client, talking to them, you must wear a face shield. This is applicable to the reception, consultants, and anyone having client meetings.
g) Please keep doors and windows of the working area, office room open all the time. This for health reasons to reduce contamination.
h) Do not use Air Conditioning, use only a fan. However, you may choose to use AC in the office rooms unless you are not with a client and you are working alone in your office room.
i) Under the “New Normal” situation we will be working in a noisy background, we will be sweating all the time, we will not be able to look nice as used to before.
j) Please do not use AC even if a client requests, unless it is essential.
k) We will not use AC in the reception area mainly because that area will have the most contamination if any. We will fix a fan in the reception.
l) The reception area must maintain people with the correct social distancing only. Any overflow (extra clients) must be seating in the other section
m) You may remove masks during the tea, lunch, etc. But you must maintain distance while in the lunch area.
n) These rules have been imposed by the health authorities, to reduce contamination and to reduce the spreading of the disease.
o) If we break these rules, we help contamination, we may become disease carriers, we can become sick and sometimes die. Most importantly, health authorities will stop us working and quarantine us for a minimum of 3 weeks.
